On May 28th, 2018 at the Ministry of Science and Education the contract which grants 39.558.639,75 kuna to the project Cryogenic Centre at the Institute of Physics – KaCIF was signed.
On April 4th, 2018, a ceremony on the signing of the grant agreement for the CALT project was held at the Ministry of Science and Education.
The leaders of the three largest Croatian scientific institutions (Institute of Physics, Faculty of Science of the University of Zagreb and Ruđer Bošković Institute) have requested the Ministry of Science and Education of Croatia to support scientific and applied research in the field of quantum technologies.
Submitted proposals should explore collaborative advanced multidisciplinary science and/or cutting-edge engineering with the potential to initiate or foster new lines of quantum technologies and help Europe grasp leadership early on in promising future technology areas. On invitation of Mr. Günther Oettinger, Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society and Mr. Henk Kamp, Minister of Economic Affairs in The Netherlands, a European team has been working on a “Quantum Manifesto” to formulate a common strategy for Europe to stay at the front of the second Quantum Revolution.
